Constructed wetland wastewater treatment plants are an ecological solution for sewage disposal for family houses, cottages, municipalities, hotels, guesthouses, and industry. In this category, you will find our vertical constructed wetland WWTPs – ECOver, ECOkocka, and ECOparking – with capacities ranging from 1 inhabitant up to 2,500 inhabitants.

Unlike conventional biological treatment plants, our constructed wetland WWTPs operate without electricity, without mechanical parts, without bacteria replenishments, and without sludge measurement. Treatment is provided by filter media combined with aquatic plants that remove contaminants naturally – quiet, worry-free operation with minimal operating costs.

Advantages of constructed wetland treatment plants from ekocisticky.sk:

Zero electricity consumption – the ECOver WWTP works completely without power on sloped terrain
No restrictions on using standard cleaning agents
Treats both greywater and blackwater, functions even without a continuous inflow (ideal for cottages)
The modular ECOkocka system occupies an area of just 3 m²
Option for DIY self-installation or turnkey implementation
Suitable for residential areas, housing developments, hotels, recreational facilities, and industry
Opportunity to receive a subsidy for water retention measures

Plastic three-chamber septic tanks represent a proven solution for the pre-treatment of wastewater for households, cabins, and properties without a connection to public sewerage. They serve as the first stage of treatment prior to a constructed wetland, soakaway/infiltration system, or as a holding tank.

In our range, you will find certified plastic septic tanks made of durable polypropylene (PP) with a long service life, available in both concrete-encased and self-supporting designs. The three-chamber construction provides mechanical settling of sludge, anaerobic decomposition of organic matter, and final calming of the water before the next treatment stage.

Why choose a plastic septic tank from ekocisticky.sk:

Watertight design in compliance with Slovak standards
Low weight – easy transport and installation
Resistance to corrosion and aggressive substances
Possibility of connection to the ECOkocka constructed wetland WWTP
Various capacities according to the population equivalent (PE)
Also suitable as a holding tank/cesspool with a 15-year warranty

Plastic tanks for rainwater and wastewater are a key water retention measure that saves drinking water, reduces flood risk, and supports sustainable water management. In this category, you will find underground and above-ground tanks for rainwater harvesting, storage tanks, holding tanks/cesspools, as well as retention tanks in various capacities according to your needs.

The tanks allow for rainwater collection from roofs, its storage, and reuse for garden irrigation, toilet flushing, car washing, or domestic utility purposes. This way, you can save up to 50% of drinking water consumption and disconnect from the stormwater drainage system.

Advantages of tanks from ekocisticky.sk:

15-year warranty on selected plastic holding tanks
Watertight construction made of high-quality polypropylene
Wide selection of capacities from small domestic to large-volume tanks
Subsidy eligibility under the Green to Households (Zelená domácnostiam) scheme and other calls
Simple installation and connection to water plumbing
Flood protection and water flow regulation

Water meter and pumping shafts are an essential part of the water supply and sewerage systems of family houses, companies, and municipal projects. In this category, you will find plastic water meter shafts for housing water meters and pumping stations equipped with sludge pumps for locations where gravity drainage is not possible.

Water meter shafts protect the water meter against frost, mechanical damage, and unauthorized access. They are manufactured from durable polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP), equipped with a pedestrian cover and a ventilation system.

Pumping shafts are used for pumping wastewater from lower-lying properties to a higher level of the sewage network or a wastewater treatment plant. Ideal for sloping properties and solutions featuring the ECOkocka constructed wetland WWTP.

Advantages of shafts from ekocisticky.sk:

Watertight and gastight construction
Pedestrian and driveable covers depending on requirements
Can be fitted with a sludge pump with a float switch
Easy installation and long service life (30+ years)
Compatibility with both plastic septic tanks and rainwater harvesting tanks

The ECOBAG living retaining wall is an innovative natural system that allows you to build a green retaining wall quickly, easily, and even DIY. It replaces traditional concrete retaining walls with an ecological alternative that does not overheat its surroundings, follows the terrain contours, and promotes biodiversity.

The ECOBAG system consists of textile bags filled with soil into which perennials, grasses, or shrubs are planted. They form a stable, naturally green wall that retains slopes, prevents soil erosion, and captures rainwater – functioning as a fully-fledged water-retention measure.

Key benefits of the ECOBAG retaining wall:

Quick and simple installation – suitable for DIY installation
Modular system – any height and shape
Adapts to undulating terrain including curves
Does not overheat – unlike concrete and stone
Aesthetic appearance – resembles a natural vegetated slope once overgrown
Cost-effective solution compared to gabions or concrete
Long lifespan thanks to UV-stabilized material

Drainage and grass pavers (also known as ECORASTER grass pavers) are a modern permeable solution for paved surfaces. They fully replace asphalt, concrete, and interlocking pavers and provide more than 90% infiltration area – an exceptionally effective water retention measure approved under subsidy schemes.

ECORASTER plastic grass paving grids ensure optimal drainage of rainwater directly into the ground, thereby relieving the sewer system and replenishing groundwater. They are ideal for parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, pedestrian areas, horse paddocks, waste container stations, and fire access routes.

Advantages of ECORASTER drainage pavers:

Water permeability – up to 90% of the grass-covered area
High load-bearing capacity – suitable even for trucks
Conforms to uneven terrain thanks to the modular system
Long service life – UV and frost resistant
Subsidy eligibility under water retention initiatives
Eco-friendly alternative to asphalt and concrete surfaces
Can be filled with grass or gravel

Hydrophilic plants for constructed wetland wastewater treatment plants are the heart of the entire biological treatment process. In this category, you will find carefully selected wetland plants tested for Slovak climatic conditions and optimized for the ECOver and ECOkocka constructed wetland WWTPs.

Aquatic and wetland plants such as common reed (Phragmites australis), narrowleaf cattail (Typha angustifolia), yellow iris (Iris pseudacorus), or reed canary grass ensure the removal of nitrogen, phosphorus, and organic substances from wastewater. Their extensive root systems create an environment for microorganisms that complete the treatment process.

Why choose plants from ekocisticky.sk:

Species proven for constructed wetland WWTPs in Slovakia
High resistance to both frost and drought
Rapid growth and ability to regenerate
Also suitable for rain gardens and wetlands
Aesthetic element in the garden – blooming and ornamental
Support for biodiversity and insect life
