Product description
An ornamental grass widespread across almost the entire Northern Hemisphere. In nature, it grows along the edges of standing waters and in wet meadows. Thanks to its runners, it can form dense stands. Due to this characteristic, it is also frequently used as a plant for reed bed sewage treatment systems. Phalaris arundinacea 'Picta' is popular in ornamental gardens and parks. The leaves are decorated with vertically alternating green and white stripes. It differs from the base species with a slightly smaller stature. This ornamental grass is especially suitable along the edges of watercourses and ponds, but also in flower beds where the soil remains sufficiently moist throughout the year. In group plantings and monoculture, it can reliably cover larger areas. The site should be in full sun throughout the day.
